Overview:

As a global logistics company that provides international express mail services, air and ocean freight forwarding, and contract logistics solutions, efficient shipment management is critical to the success of DHL. To overcome challenges such as delayed deliveries, lost packages, and lack of real-time visibility, we implemented an automated shipment management system in 2023, leveraging the Untitled design system. This allowed us to streamline DHL Nigeria's global shipping operations and unify the design language across all products.

Problem:

Prior to implementing the new system, DHL Nigeria faced several challenges with its shipment management, including manual processes and outdated technology, which made it difficult to track packages and respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner. Additionally, the design language was inconsistent across different products, resulting in a disjointed user experience for customers.

What we did:

To address these challenges, we partnered with DHL Nigeria and a leading logistics technology provider to implement an automated shipment management system that leveraged the Untitled design system. This comprehensive design language system provided guidelines and components for creating consistent and visually appealing interfaces across all products. It also allowed for easy scalability and customization, ensuring a consistent brand experience across all touchpoints.

Before implementing the new shipment management system, we conducted extensive research and testing to ensure that it would meet DHL Nigeria's unique business needs. We conducted user interviews with DHL Nigeria's customers and employees to understand their pain points and requirements. We also performed competitive analysis and evaluated the latest industry trends to inform the system's design and features. Finally, we developed a prototype and conducted usability testing to ensure that the new system was easy to use and met the needs of DHL Nigeria's stakeholders.
